I refer to these works as Paintings of the Mind.

 

They are inspired by how we face and aspire to rise above adversity on a personal or global level.   I do not seek to explain them futher as they will mean different things to different viewers, depending on each person's life experiences.

I hope that the first five paintings shown on this page might generate hope and optimism and celebrate the human spirit and its ability to overcome difficulties.

The last three works contain a warning and message that we all have a responsibility to look after ourselves, our neighbours and our planet.
